MONS LIFT
A mons lift, also known as a monsplasty, is a surgical procedure designed to reduce and tighten the mons pubis—the fatty area above the pubic bone. Factors such as ageing, weight fluctuations, and genetics can cause this area to become enlarged or saggy, affecting aesthetics and comfort.
During the procedure, excess fat and skin are removed, and the area is tightened to create a more contoured appearance. In some cases, liposuction may be considered alongside the lift.
Why Consider a Mons Lift?
A mons lift can offer several benefits, including:
- Enhanced Aesthetic Appearance – A smoother, firmer pubic area can improve body confidence, especially in swimwear or tight clothing.
- Post-Weight Loss Contouring – After significant weight loss, loose skin in the pubic area can remain. A mons lift can help refine and complete the transformation.
- Improved Comfort – A prominent or sagging mons pubis can cause discomfort, especially when wearing fitted clothing or during physical activities.
- Better Hygiene – Excess skin folds can trap moisture and cause irritation or infections. A lift can help reduce these issues.
- Enhanced Sexual Confidence – Some people feel self-conscious about the appearance of their mons pubis, and a lift can help restore confidence in intimate settings.
Is a Mons Lift right for you?
You may be a good candidate if:
- You have excess skin or fat in the mons pubis area.
- You feel discomfort or self-consciousness due to sagging in this area.
- You are in good overall health and have realistic expectations about the results.
Mons Lift procedure and recovery
- Procedure Time: Typically takes 1–2 hours.
- Anesthesia: General is more comfortable for the patient.
- Recovery: Most patients can return to light activities within a week, with full recovery in 4–6 weeks.
